There are many wonderful rescues everywhere. India has quite a number of rescuers working hard for the animals and educating local people on how to care for “community dogs” (strays). In the USA, healthy, loving animals are killed daily in animal control centers/shelters so the problems are everywhere – they just look different. So-called ‘culling’ goes on around the planet because humans have not reached a level of understanding that they must balance their own activities with consideration for ALL. Twenty dollars is: a bottle of wine, a yoga class and bottle of water, a movie and tub of popcorn, that extra added network on your monthly cable bill, or part of a new pair of shoes you probably don’t really need.

How many of these things could you give up one a month; a week; a day? Twenty dollars and you prevent countless lives from being born into suffering. It’s mind numbing to think the power we actually have to prevent seeing more gut wrenching stories of animals suffering. Instead, I would give up anything I didn’t need to ensure I see more HAPPY stories posted out there. We can ACT and create change…and it’s a small price to pay.

This is incredibly eye opening. Remarkably well done.
